My Pal Mickey, discontinued. WTh?

It’s coming up on a year since I’ve gone to Disneyworld and I was getting a little sad that it’s been so long and that a co-worker of mine is going to a conference at the Swan soon. My thoughts turned to My Pal Mickey. I got one last year and absolutely loved it. I hooked him to my camelback and he went everywhere with me. I was wondering if I could find some resources for hacking him, so I could use him to start asking the kids if they missed the Magic Kingdom and start working the pysop on the Mrs to get another trip in the planning stages. I found out that My Pal Mickey has been discontinued. Oh how sad, it was an amazing piece of technology.
